Care360 Lab Orders & Results

Care360 Lab Orders and Results is an internet- based solution electronic laboratory test ordering and reporting application for hospitals and physician practices.  Care360 Lab Ordering improves office workflow by providing faster, more accurate lab test ordering and you can view lab results 24/7 anytime, anywhere!  This easy to use system helps reduce administrative errors with built-in business rule logic that checks for eligibility, accuracy and missing information.

What's new in Care360 Lab Orders

The following enhancements have been made to the Lab Orders feature of Labs & Meds:

• Order code substitutions and alerts. As Quest Diagnostics moves toward national standard order codes, functionality has been developed to allow you to continue to order the codes with which you are familiar. Whenever you place an order, customize an order code grid or custom profile, or perform other order code-related tasks, the order code you are currently using may be automatically substituted with the standard order code representing the same test, both on the screen and on the requisition. For example, a complete blood count (CBC) represented as 42A would be substituted with a CBC represented as 6399. In addition, when important information is available about a particular order code, you can view that information during order entry or when searching the dictionary.

• Modifications to adding recipients. If you add another test results recipient to an order using the Easy Order option, and that recipient is an existing client, you must specify the client number in order to retrieve the client’s address. You can no longer search for clients by name or number.

• Unique Physician Identification Number (UPIN) entry no longer required. When you add a physician using the Easy Order option, if you type a National Provider Identifier (NPI), you do not have to type a UPIN also.

Care360 Lab Ordering allows you to perform the following tasks:

• Order lab tests from Quest Diagnostics® and other labs.
• Access and view lab results received from Quest Diagnostics and other labs.
• Provide clinical insights at the time of order and result.
• Communicate clinical data securely within and between physician offices.
• Analyze patient data using various tools, including flowsheets, graphs, and informatics queries.
• Communicate with Quest Diagnostics to gain assistance in interpreting results.
• Communicate with Quest Diagnostics Business Units (BUs) to order supplies.
• Access Quest Diagnostics information such as test dictionaries, lab manuals, and Patient
• Populate patient information automatically on lab requisitions forms, improving accuracy and eliminating the repetitive task of handwriting requisitions.
• Generates multiple lab requisitions automatically for tests with varying specimen handling requirements.
• Verifies insurance eligibility of major payers while patient is still in the office – more accurate patient billing.
• Enables Medicare Limited coverage policy compliance – generates an ABN and identifies covered ICD codes.
• Customize your ICD, Insurance, and Order grids for your office workflow.
• View requisition logs which provides a snapshot of who, what, where and when of an order.
