Medi-Gate Bridge Implementation

The Medi-Gate Bridge makes the patient data from the Practice Management System available in TOROL. This solution promotes both consistency and accuracy of data while at the same time, reducing time and effort spent by the staff within the physician’s office.

The Medi-Gate Bridge works by manipulating patient data from within the standard PMS reports. One or more PMS reports are identified which provide the desired demographic and insurance information. These reports are then printed to a “Medi-Gate printer”. This process kicks off an automatic upload to the Medi-Gate server via a secured connection through the internet. Once the reports are uploaded, the patient data is extracted and reformatted for download into TOROL. The Medi-Gate server is housed at the MedPlus data center. The connectivity with TOROL is facilitated through the existing Care360/TOROL connection. After the download is complete, the patient information is available during TOROL order entry.
